Frequently Asked Questions

Counselling sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes and offer guidance on stress, anxiety, career or life challenges, and more. Therapy is a process—some issues may require multiple sessions to explore and address fully. Together, you and your counsellor will decide the right pace and frequency for your needs.

Your privacy is very important. All conversations are confidential and will not be shared without your written consent, except in rare cases such as risk of harm to yourself or others, or when required by law. To provide the best care, your counsellor may consult anonymously with other professionals, but your identity will always be protected.

Counselling can provide relief from stress, increase self-awareness, and improve coping skills. Sometimes, exploring difficult emotions may bring temporary discomfort, but this is part of the healing process. You control the pace and topics discussed, and you can always share your concerns or request a referral if needed.

Appointments are confirmed upon full payment at booking. Please arrive on time; late arrivals or early departures reduce session time without refunds. Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice. One emergency reschedule is allowed without charge.

Online sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms like Google Meet. You’ll need a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection for the best experience. Sessions are confidential, not recorded, and your counsellor keeps secure notes for your care. If technical issues arise, the session may be paused or rescheduled.

While your counsellor strives to support your progress, the outcome depends on your participation and lifestyle choices. You agree not to hold your counsellor liable for any unforeseen issues during online counselling. Therapy concludes when you and your counsellor mutually agree that significant progress has been made.
