I wake up with a glum,
Unexcited by the humdrum.
But how do I switch to staying keen?
It’s all thanks to my morning routine!

Good morning and Happy Monday!
I hope Monday blues haven’t gotten to you just yet. But if they have, know that you’re not alone. Many of us (myself included) often dread Mondays—not necessarily because of work itself, but because Monday has long been associated with hustle, productivity, errands… the pressure to “get up and do something,” even when we’re not quite feeling it.
So today, I’d love to share the morning routine that’s helped me reframe that energy—resetting not just my day, but often the entire week ahead.
Here are my 4 go-to practices:
- Morning Walk
I always start the day with a walk around my neighbourhood to get those endorphins flowing. Even a simple 15-minute walk can give your mind and body an energetic boost—especially on days when time is tight.
- Meditation
Meditation helps me recentre and reconnect. These days, I lean more into active meditation and love doing the 6 Phase Meditation by Vishen Lakhiani (Mindvalley Founder). It’s a powerful way to ground and align your mind for the day ahead.
- Gratitude Practice
Take a few moments to count your blessings. Really feel into it—name a few things you’re grateful for and let that energy soak in. Gratitude shifts your frequency faster than almost anything else.
- Segment Intending
This is a tool I learned from spiritual teacher Esther Hicks. It’s about setting conscious intentions for each “segment” of your day.
For example, you might say:
– “I intend for my commute to feel smooth and relaxed.”
– “I intend to find a great parking spot.”
– “I intend to have a productive and easeful workday.”
– “I intend to enjoy a joyful lunch with my colleagues.”
– “I intend to end the day with a nourishing dinner and rest.”
It’s a simple but powerful way to create your day with more awareness and intention.
These four practices have become my anchors—and I genuinely notice a difference on the days I don’t do them. Try them out and let me know how they work for you!
Wishing you a grounded and energised start to your week. 💛
